International Collaboration: Weitzmann Institute, Israel

Two collaborative efforts link CSEM to the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel. Steven Quake has initiated joint studies of the polymer physics of DNA with Joel Stavans of the Weizmann Institute, contributing to CSEM research in Mesophotonics. David Tirrell has engaged in a collaborative program with Meir Lahav and Leslie Leiserowitz of the Weizmann, which is directed toward elucidation of the self-assembly properties of designed peptides and artificial proteins investigated in the Biological Synthesis and Assembly of Macromolecular Materials.
